• Holding no less than 5 AA rosettes in total, Alexander House is a very special destination for exceptional cuisine. Boasting two restaurants, a series of glamorous drawing rooms, the champagne bar and fabulous sun-soaked terraces, there are few finer locations to mark the special moments in life than at Alexander House.

• All located in the original house, our drawing rooms are ideal for private dining for up to 40 guests. Dining options include tasting menus from our 3-AA rosette restaurant AG’s, relaxed menus from our 2-AA rosette restaurant Reflections along with BBQs, bowl food and much more.

• Discover our private lunch, dinner & afternoon tea options below. For larger celebrations, our Shelley Suite, named after Percy Shelley the former owner of Alexander House, is the perfect option for up to 130 guests.

• Standing tall amid 120 acres of stunning landscaped gardens and parkland, Alexander House is a grand haven. Our gardens are regularly tended too to maintain and enhance its beauty all year round. Explore the vast gardens to see if you can spot the first boundary stone that was placed back in 1608, smell the flowers in our sunken garden or even compete in a game of croquet on the lawn. Even in the traditionally wet British weather, you can enjoy the gardens with a pair of wellies from reception.

• The 1608 Champagne Bar: How many bars do you know with 145 wines and 30 hand-picked Champagnes? How about bars that also create a wide range of unique cocktails using only the finest ingredients? Savour the moment, relish the flavours and make the most of every last drop as it melts in your mouth.

• Utopia Spa is a spa destination like no other. Featuring 25 treatment rooms including three couple's treatment rooms, relaxation lounges and a bespoke outdoor barrel sauna and hot tub, our luxury spa hotel in Sussex is the perfect destination for an invigorating and refreshing break away.

• Our largest suite, named after the Shelleys, holds 90 guests and can be combined with the Wakehurst for larger events of up to 130. More intimate occasions can enjoy such beautiful drawing rooms as the Asquith & Churchill.

• Alexander House is just 20 minutes from Gatwick Airport and 30 minutes from London Victoria.

• With 120 acres of parkland at your disposal along with our little black book of suppliers, we have plenty of great team building solutions. From ice breakers to creative exercises, learning new skills as well as more traditional team building activities, there’s something for every team to enjoy.

Wedding

• A stunning renovated Jacobean mansion, Alexander House is a luxurious countryside retreat, set in 120 acres of glorious West Sussex countryside.
• With a distinctly personal feel, we specialise in designing fabulous bespoke wedding days with flair, making the very most of the glamorous interiors and spaces, and the beautiful gardens.
• Four beautiful ceremony & reception suites; from the sumptuous South Drawing Room to the light and neutral setting of the Shelley Suite, along with our pretty wedding gazebo for outdoor occasions.
• We are able to host up to 90 day guests and 200 evening guests for your wedding and working with our team of expert wedding designers we will help you create your perfect day.

Check in/out times

• Check in from 3pm
• Check out by 11am
• The hotel is of course open 24 hours a day and guests are welcome to arrive and depart at their convenience. Groups taking exclusive use can discuss check in and out flexibility, to suit their event or celebration (subject to availability)
