“Having established House Party Solutions in 2007, building the business over the years has been one of the most incredible journeys of my life. The business model is focused on a friendly approach and a higher than usual degree of personal service. My objective has always been to match one of our beautiful properties to the criteria expressed by individual clients, with as little compromise as possible. And, as the business has grown, my team have been painstakingly chosen for possessing the same qualities.

You may well wonder what led to all of this, and in reality, there have been several contributory factors…

As a child, my family ran a small farm, which offered farm holidays during the summer months, and a successful coach company in Devon. Consequently, I was drip fed on a cocktail of hard work, very long hours, dedication and never giving up – values that I have only really appreciated since adulthood. It was the perfect introduction into tourism, hospitality, excellent food and socialising with people from all over the country, from various walks of life.

In my early 20’s, I moved to Saudi Arabia as part of a management team, to establish one of the largest sheep farms in the Middle East. My role built on my otherwise lacking computer and administration skills and involved training multinational employees in practical animal husbandry. This involved a large degree of interpersonal skills and could be very amusing at times!

The farm was owned by a Saudi Prince who built a new palace there and we were fortunate enough to regularly visit the site during the build and after completion. I developed an inquisitive interest in the refurbishment; becoming inspired by the vision of beautiful interiors, incredible facilities and fabulous (often quirky) grounds - I was hooked!

Prior to setting up House Party Solutions, I worked as an agricultural Business Counselor; predominantly involved in putting together diversification grant applications to convert redundant farm buildings into holiday lets, many of which were suitable for large groups. This further fuelled my interest in luxurious, large group accommodation and inspired me to work with people, to achieve the desired result.

When I’m not working, I can usually be found….outside somewhere, with my two horses or stomping over the rolling hills of Dartmoor with my Hungarian Vizsla rescue dog, Jasper.”

I began my career many years ago in London, holding high-level PA roles in both the public and private sectors, before relocating to Devon with my family in 2000.

I have had the good fortune to enjoy roles in many hospitality teams over the years as my husband and I have created our dream home and raised our four children. This included 6 fantastic years with Karen at House Party Solutions in the 2010s as she grew the business to include corporate and catered collections alongside the ever-popular self-catered portfolio.

Following a break and with my nest now empty, I am delighted to rejoin Karen and the team at HPS as we continue to evolve and adapt to changing markets.

Perfect spaces and gardens are my passion, and it is an absolute pleasure to source perfect places for our clients to enjoy, whatever the occasion or celebration.

With over 23 years of experience across sectors including travel and tourism, aviation, the arts, and broadcasting, Kat brings a depth of marketing expertise shaped by both large corporate environments and SMEs. Since becoming a freelancer in 2013, she has focused on supporting SMEs and niche businesses—an area she feels most connected to and where she can make a meaningful impact and drive lasting, positive change.

Running Kat White Digital, she combines strategic insight with a genuine personal investment in each client’s success. Her approach is hands-on, collaborative, and results-driven.

For House Party Solutions, she provides tailored marketing support, including paid advertising management to drive bookings, as well as initiatives to raise the brand’s profile among guests and property owners.
