Arthog Hall, Snowdonia, Gwynedd, North Wales, UK.

The only Gothic Castle in North Wales, Arthog Hall was built by a wealthy cotton mill owner in 1832. After becoming an up-market Victorian Hotel it returned to private ownership.  For the past 15 years this grade ll listed building has been sympathetically restored to its former glory.

Arthog Hall sits near the base of Cader Idris at the southern end of Snowdonia National Park and is considered to command one of the finest views in Europe. The view from the Hall overlooks the Mawddach Estuary, mountains and sea beyond. The area is noted for its outstanding natural beauty and is a favourite for walkers.

A note from the owner:
When most people purchase a house, it is the house that determines the choice! When I bought Arthog Hall sixteen years ago ‘I bought the view’; little did I realise that I would then spend more than a decade bringing the quality of the house to match that of the view. The house is now fully restored to it former glory and provides a very comfortable, spacious and well appointed base to visit some of the most beautiful countryside in Europe. The Hall is located on the North side of the Mawddach Valley and has the benefit of the evening sun until you watch it eventually fall into the sea.
